Candidate Duties

• Planned and execute major migration including complete analysis of business needs, infrastructure and application, hardware & security requirement, managed application certification, profile setup and performance evaluation.
• Work closely with business in identifying solution requirements and key case-studies/scenarios for the future solution to achieve security and compliance.
• Design and prototype cloud infrastructure, create infrastructure and security architecture document covering deep technical aspects of the implementation
• Design and implement multiple forecast and windows domain structure
• Prepare technical design documentation and implementation strategies towards addressing single points of failure in IT services used in the delivery of core business applications
• Implement project plans & disaster recovery plans within present budgets and deadlines
• Setting out standards for various operational areas, implementing quality systems and procedures to facilitate a high-quality customer experience, while adhering to the SLAs
• Install, configure and upgrade ESX servers. Configuration of vCenter for centralized administration.
• Implement firewalls and VPN.
• Apply certificates to all the application to encrypt the traffic and to achieve security.
• Installation of VMware tools for capacity planning, managing VMware high availability, distributed resource scheduler
• Migrate Email gateway from McAfee IronMail to Cloud based solution of Symantec message lab with new edge subscription servers
• Create a unified strategy for cloud transformation governance, automation, security, implementation and operations Analyse existing application and IT services portfolios, develop assets’ migration, transformation and automation roadmap
• Lead implementation of the solution from establishing project requirements and goals to solution “go-live” Oversee the cloud system engineering efforts and provide technical help as needed.
• Ensure VMware’s overarching business goals and priorities are central in the development of strategies and management of programs and campaigns while demonstrating excellent execution.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues with respect to Virtual Machine availability, performance, scalability and security. Work on Root Cause as per customer requirements.

Skill, experience and qualifications required –

• 3-4+ years previous experience in an IT Engineer, or similar, role.
• Demonstrate extensive experience working as a cloud/infrastructure engineer/senior engineer or in similar IT roles.
• Heavily experienced with VMWare and virtualisation.
• Experience with VMWare OpenStack Integration & V-Realise virtualisation.
• Operation and Configuration Experience.
• Well aware with cyber security aspect, and ability to implement the cyber security to secure the infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure & AWS), its principles (e.g., load balancing, high availability, server-based and server less architecture) and performance.
• Strong experience working with relational and non-relational databases.
• Strong experience in managing and operating data centres and IT infrastructure services.
• Extensive working experience supporting Microsoft Server Technologies (Server 2012,2016,2019, SCCM/SCOM, Microsoft SQL, Exchange) is essential.
• Be comfortable working alongside a geographically diverse, multi skilled team, and supporting a 24/7 environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Should hold certification in VMware & AWS or Azure.
• Very good communication / moderation skills.
• Languages required – English & Urdu/Hindi.
• Proficiency in Powershell scripting desirable.

Job Responsibilities:

• Working on multiple web and mobile responsive websites. Develop new features roll-outs and improvements.
• Using a range of CMS including WordPress, Wix, Drupal, Magento and Shopify.
• Maintain custom plugins and scripts on PHP and JavaScript (JQUERY).
• Maintain web and mobile backends built on Laravel and slim frameworks.
• Managing your own time effectively to deliver projects to schedule.
• Design and optimize mobile compatable websites and PWAs (Progresssive Web Apps)
• Maintain, update and fix issues that arise either on live sites or in-house applications.
• Implementation of new pages, code, modules, and widgets.

Skills Experiance & Qualifications required 

• 3-4 years’ experience in IT with strong DevOps practices
• Excellent command on PHP/MySQL
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML
• Working knowledge of backend frameworks like Laravel or Slim
• Working knowledge of frontend frameworks like Vue.js, React.js or Angular
• Good object-oriented and database programming skills
• Good communication skills, taking ownerships on technical issues and a great team player
• Problem-solving, prioritizing tasks, multi-tasking abilities
• Ability to understand and handle tasks independently
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Proficiency in technical documentation is desirable.
